Is Jesus God, the Son of God, or a Prophet?
According to both the Bible and the Qur'an, Jesus was a mighty Prophet and Messenger of God — not God Himself nor literally God's son. The Bible records that Jesus prayed to God, called God 'greater than me,' and declared the greatest commandment to be 'The Lord our God, the Lord is one.' The Qur'an honors Jesus as the Messiah, born miraculously, but worships God alone.
What does Islam say about Jesus (Isa)?
Islam reveres Jesus (Isa ibn Maryam) as one of the greatest prophets and the Messiah. Muslims believe in his virgin birth, his miracles, and his return before the Day of Judgment, but do not accept his divinity or crucifixion as understood in Christianity.
What was the original message that Jesus preached?
Jesus preached the same message as every Prophet before him: worship the One True God alone.
