Surah Aal-Imran (3:190)إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لَآيَاتٍ لِّأُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ
Inna fi khalq is-samawati wal-ardi wakhtilaf il-layli wan-nahari la ayatin li ulil-albab
“Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding.”
This verse invites rational contemplation of the natural world as evidence for the Creator. The phrase 'uli al-albab' (people of understanding) emphasizes that Islam encourages intellectual inquiry and empirical observation as paths to faith, not blind acceptance.
